Mission Statement

The Mission of the Arc of Tillamook County is to improve the dignity and quality of life of people in Tillamook County with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and to increase public awareness of the challenges they face.

History

This grass roots organization began in 1969 when a group of parents formed The Tillamook Association for Retarded Citizens (TARC). These parents were concerned about the availability of opportunities for their children. Over the years, the name has changed but the vision for Tillamook County remains the same!
